Image Protection

Sun May 6, 2007, 4:56 AM
=Elandria's new news article about art theft and watermarking images etc got me thinking about how we could better secure our art and protect it from those trying to pass it off as their own.

I decided that the best contribution I could make currently would be a digtal watermarking program, and I have the basic setup since I have just finished a module at Uni where we were designing steganography programs.

I understand there are already tools like this available. However this one would be free to dA memebers and in fact fcrafted to the needs you provide me with.

If you want to be part of the specification process, fire over to the forum thread here.

Sat Nov 4, 2006, 5:12 AM
Just been checking new journals, and one reminded me that I should check my Pageviews...

so 1137! t'was a shock to me, last time i remember actually checking there were only 500 or so.

I would like tho thank everyone who has browsed my art, even more so those who appreciated it, and especially those who thought i was good enough to be watched.

Thanks Guys!

I have just been checking my messages. Lots of very good peices being uploaded.

I just wish I had the attention span roght now to complete a project.
I have about 4 3D models on the go atm, and I have a bout 3 plages of doodles. I think im going to have to scan them in and post them as scraps or something.

I haven't really felt like sitting down and doing a proper piece of art. In fact one of my 3D rojects has been going soince before the summer hols!!

Really need to get my act together.
Any suggestions?

Back at Uni

This week has been hectic. Been trying to keep on top of the work im doing for a company, but every time i get an email/send some work I have to walk 20m into the Uni library because we haven't got the internet set up in the house yet :(
Also my financial ituations up in the air, because the Student Loan Company has an... interesting automated system.

To top it all off, I have caught something, whcoh makes you feel rather out of it, and gives you a bug headache. Its liek being masterfully drunk and having a hangover at the same time :D

What else can I say? I just had to trawl through 47 deviations and who knows how many other messages because this is the first time I've allowed myself to use the internet for anything other than work since friday.

Oh, and this year, term starts a day BEFORE my birthday. Which i suppose beats last year, but not by much...

DA v5...

Tue Aug 8, 2006, 2:39 PM
well it looks smooth as fried eggs from a greasy spoon, dosen't it?

however everythings moved. the help button is all the way down at the bottom of the page, which meant i was on the brink of trying to note the helpdesk to ask them where they'd hident the helpdesk...

also there are a few places where v5 still hasn't got to. mailboxes and daMN are both still in the oldie look, and the new "mood" buttons we have are not only really slow, but have a completely different pallet to the rest of v5!
oh and on the suject of coments: where in frickity-frick has the emote legend gone???
i had to search FAQ to find their helpful link. its just not right.

the most sapointing thing is that most of the greasemonkey scripts i had downloaded dont work anymore, so i'm gonna have to join the wave of ppl making new useful scripts for v5 :D

however now my wee rant is over :)
